Sexy Jeans Attires Probibited in West Aceh

INDONESIA

Sayiffudin Zuhri e Mohammad Syahrir killed during anti teror raid

INDONESIA

8 Foods That Fight Fat

Want to lose weight as you chow down? Your wish is granted! (I promise, this is no fairy tale.) Your supermarket is filled with foods that studies show have lipid-melting powers to help melt fat and keep you slim. Stock up on these fat-fighting super bites, and you'll be trimmer even as you indulge. Read on to discover the eight foods that deserve a permanent spot in your fridge—and in your diet!

Almonds These yummy nuts are high in alpha-linolenic acid, which can accelerate your metabolism of fats. In fact, dieters who ate 3 ounces of almonds daily slashed their weight and body-mass index by 18 percent, while those who skipped the nuts reduced both numbers less— just 11 percent—a study in the International Journal of Obesity revealed. Chomp almonds à la carte (limit yourself to 12 per serving to keep calories in check). I get a pack at Starbucks and nibble throughout my day. Or sprinkle them into a recipe such as Black Bean–Almond Pesto Chicken. Go nuts!

Berries I tell my daughter, "These are nature's candy!" Turns out they're also your body's best friends. Strawberries, raspberries and other vitamin C–spiked fruit can supercharge your workout, helping you burn up to 30 percent more fat, research from Arizona State University at Mesa has found. If they're not in season, buy the little gems frozen in a bulk-sized bag so you'll always have them on hand to whip up a Berry Bliss Smoothie or Strawberry-Sunflower Pops, regardless of whether berries are in season.

Cinnamon Adding 1/4 teaspoon to your plate may prevent an insulin spike—an uptick that tells your body to store fat. Sprinkle it on your morning cereal or coffee or on your yogurt in the A.M., or savor it in Apple-Cinnamon-Raisin Oatmeal.

Mustard It's heaven on a soft pretzel, but mustard may also be a weight loss wonder. Turmeric, the spice that gives mustard its color, may slow the growth of fat tissues, a study in the journal Endocrinology finds. Use it on sandwiches instead of mayo, or sprinkle turmeric on cauliflower pre-roasting to give it a kick. Try it on tuna salad—I promise it adds zest.

Oranges This citrus fruit, which contains fat-blasting compounds known as flavones, deserves to be your main squeeze. Women who ate the most flavones had a much lower increase in body fat over a 14-year period, a study in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition notes. Eat oranges sliced or swig fresh OJ (including pulp!) to get the best benefit from the fruit.

Soybeans Reason to toss a half cup on your salad? Soybeans are rich in choline, a compound that blocks the absorption of fat and breaks down fatty deposits. Oh, and they're addictively delish! But if breast cancer runs in your family, experts suggest you should talk to your doc before adding soy to your diet.

Sweet potatoes The colorful spuds' high-fiber content means they keep your insulin steadier than their white sisters, which means less fat packed on your hips, research finds. Top a small baked tater with lowfat cottage cheese for a tempting side dish, or whip up Miso Soup With Sweet Potato Dumplings.

Swiss cheese Calcium-rich foods reduce fat-producing enzymes and increase fat breakdown, and Swiss has more calcium than many of its cheesy peers. Choose the reduced-fat variety, such as Sargento. Slip it into your sandwich, put it on top of high-fiber crackers or use it for a healthier grilled cheese. Yum!

Papaya alias gantung

Nama latinnya Carica papaya. Masyarakat Australia menyebutnya Paw paw.

Dua
Buah pepaya mengandung enzim papain.

Katanya punya tujuan, punya Goals punya impian?

Noordin Top possibly killed during antiterror raid in Solo

INDONESIA
Central Java: Five dead in a raid on terrorists, perhaps Noordin M. Top
by Mathias Hariyadi

Overnight a special security unit attacked a hideout used by Islamic extremists. Two terrorists involved in the attack hotels in Jakarta killed, weapons and bombs seized. The police will not confirm or deny the death of the Malaysian terrorist top of the list of wanted persons.

Jakarta (AsiaNews) - Five suspected terrorists killed, three others arrested, an "important" arsenal of weapons including guns and bombs sequestered. This is the outcome of a police operation in Indonesia – lasting more than 10 hours – in Mojosongo, a suburb of Surakarta, in Central Java. Four bodies have already been identified. The fifth, decapitated by an explosion, could be Noordin Mohammed Top, the Malaysian extremist who first on list of wanted criminals; the head of the anti-terrorism squad will neither confirm nor deny the report.

Last night the Special Detachment 88 - an elite Indonesian counter-terrorism team - attacked a hideout used by Islamic extremists in Central Java. The security forces engaged in a fire fight that lasted about ten hours. Hundreds of villagers flocked to witness the operation. Surakarta (or, Solo as it is called by the locals) is the hometown of Abu Bakar Baasyir, former leader of the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) Indonesian terrorist group linked to al Qaeda.

Police have released the names of four of the five extremists who were killed in the raid: they are Urwah, Maruto, Susilo and Putri Munaroh. "A fifth person was decapitated by a second explosion," said a police official, on condition of anonymity. "We suspect this is Noordin Mohammed Top, because he has fair skin and is tall like Noordin”. Interviewed by AFP, Saud Usman Nastion - Head of the Special Detachment 88 - said they do not know if the terrorist from Malaysia is also among the dead.

However the killing of Bagus Budi Pranoto alias Urwah and Maurto has been confirmed, that latter was wanted for involvement in the attack on the two hotels in Jakarta last July, which killed nine people. Among the wounded there is also Munarwaroh Putri, wife of Susilo, who is seven months pregnant, and has been rushed to hospital in Surakarta.

A resident of the village of Mojosongo tells AsiaNews that "Susilo is a kind person, though he never socialized with neighbours." He registered their presence in the village "after three months, at the urgent invitation of local authorities." Suratim, the village leader, adds that they "were working as teachers at an Islamic school and a kindergarten”.

Jakarta, head of al Qaeda in Southeast Asia is dead
by Mathias Hariyadi

This is confirmed by the head of the Indonesian police. Noordin Mohammad Top, the most wanted terrorist, was killed last night in a raid by security forces in Central Java. He was the mind of several attacks in the country.

Jakarta (AsiaNews) - Noordin Mohammad Top is dead. This was confirmed by the Indonesian police chief, General Bambang Hendarso Danuri, who confirms that "the battered corpse belongs to the famous Malaysian terrorist", killed - along with three other extremists - in the raid last night by security forces.

The police chief explained that the "announcement" was "official", following 100 percent match between finger prints data and those of the corpse – taken in a military hospital in East Jakarta - with those present in the archives. General Danuri confirms that "Noordin was the leader of al Qaeda in Southeast Asia" and also "the other three terrorists killed," belonged to the fringe of the local network of Osama Bin Laden.

Among other key figures in Islamic fundamentalism in Indonesia - against which Jakarta has launched a tough fight - are Ibrohim aka Boim, killed during an operation of the police in Temanggung, in central Java, last August and Syaifuddin Zuhri, still fugitive.

"We must not underestimate the role of Boim - said the police chief - who people called 'the florist' of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. He is more than that. He is a key figure for the network of al Qaeda in Southeast Asia”. General Danuri finally confirms "the request of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono" who urged "the police" to "provide citizens with all possible information" about these "thugs" so they may "know".

Thousands buried under rubble after earthquake in West Sumatra
by Mathias Hariyadi

The severe toll is confirmed by the national emergency centre and the governor of West Sumatra. Many feared the onslaught of a tsunami, but the alarm has been recalled. Communications with the area are interrupted. Electricity pylons and generators destroyed.

Jakarta (AsiaNews) - Thousands of people are buried under debris and feared dead or seriously injured after a powerful earthquake that struck the coastal region of Padang in West Sumatra. Rustam Pakaya of the National Relief Centre in the capital has confirmed a possibly massive death toll.

The quake, which occurred in the late afternoon, measured 7.6 on the Richter scale.

The latest news from the capital reports 75 dead and thousands of homes, offices, mosques and other buildings in the district of Pariaman razed to the ground.

The governor of West Sumatra, Gamawan Fauzi, clearly moved and dazed said: "Thousands of people are buried under the huge pile of rubble of destroyed buildings".

Gawaman Fauzi also said that at first people feared a tsunami, with many fleeing to higher areas, away from the coast, but the quake did not provoke any killer waves.

Vice President Jusuf Kalla in Jakarta has alerted all the ministries. President Susilo received the news late because he was travelling by plane from the U.S. to Indonesia after attending the G20. Susilo is expected tomorrow in the capital and most likely will go to Padang.

Direct communications with the earthquake zone have been interrupted. The international airport of Padang has suspended some flights for safety, although it is unclear whether the runway and airport buildings have been damaged.

Padang also lacks energy supplies: the national electricity company has confirmed that several pylons and power generators have been destroyed.

Devastated Padang after the tremor jolted

INDONESIA
New earthquake. Aid arrives in a devastated Padang
by Mathias Hariyadi

Electricity and kerosene are lacking. The largest buildings in the city have all collapsed. The roads are flooded or destroyed, bridges collapsed. Trucks to dig among the ruins are needed, where thousands of victims are believed buried. The airport is reopened and two Hercules planes arrive with rice, medicines and basic necessities.

Jakarta (AsiaNews) - A strong earthquake of magnitude 7 on the Richter scale was recorded this morning on the island of Sumatra, south of the area hit yesterday by a 7.6 magnitude quake, which probably killed thousands of people.

Padang, the capital of West Sumatra, spent the night in devastation and total darkness, although some fires caused by the collapse of buildings still burned. There is no electricity and stocks of kerosene and water are lacking. The price of fuel has risen to four times the normal rate, up to 10 million rupees per litre. Bridges and several roads have been destroyed and some roads are still flooded.

All of the major buildings in the city have collapsed such as hospitals, banks, supermarkets, shopping centres, the Islamic University and the University of Science and Technology.

The communications system of the airport is down and internet and mobile phones are not working.

Thousands of people are still trapped under the rubble and the means to lift heavy debris is lacking. Seismologist Rahmat Triyono, from government offices, said that the earthquake in Padang is not connected to the Samoa tsunami. "The earthquake in Sumatra - he said - is due to friction between the Eurasian and the Indo-Australian plates".

Civil protection and relief organizations and non-governmental organizations are arriving in Padang, thanks to the reopening of the airport, which has reported only minor damage.

Hercules planes took off from Jakarta to deploy tons of rice, medicines and basic necessities. Medical teams are also due to arrive today; the Indonesian navy is sending some ships to Padang.

The epicentre of yesterday’s strong quake is located about 57 km from Periaman, a district on the outskirts of Padang. The quake was felt even in the province of Jambi, Malaysia and Singapore.

Padang Bishop Mgr Situmorang: Compassion is above all

INDONESIA
Bishop of Padang:
"compassion" among people, stronger than the devastation of the earthquake
Mathias Hariyadi

Bishop Martinus Dogma Situmorang thanks for the aid and calls for the cooperation of civil engineers to assess the practicability of structures. Several Catholic buildings have suffered extensive damage, including the hospital, which continues to operate despite the emergency.

Padang (AsiaNews) - Thanks for the aid to our "brothers and sisters" in the areas affected by the earthquake, but our thoughts are now on the immediate future, on reconstruction in an atmosphere of mutual “compassion”, because in the midst of utter devastation, "I saw something good in society. " So says Martinus Dogma Situmorang, bishop of Padang, the area hit last week by an earthquake of magnitude 7.6 that causing 739 deaths, which the Red Cross estimates to be at least 3 thousand.

In the aftermath of the earthquake, the bishop visited the area and tells of the "total darkness", the "lack of electricity, except some areas where generators are available”. He noted the "strong and great compassion among people," including "the work of volunteers" and support centres "set up in a short time", this has "deeply touched” him because in a scenario of "such devastation I saw something good in society. "

The bishop of Padang confirmed the death of "dozens of Catholics" and the work of frantic doctors and nurses in the Catholic hospital Yos Sudarso in Padang", to help in the emergency by providing their own operating theatres, because the governmental structures of RS M. Jamil and RS Pusat Daerah "were totally paralyzed." To the work of health personnel the efforts of the Indonesian Caritas must be added, which "is doing everything to help the victims", regardless of "ethnicity or religious belief."

Several Catholic buildings in Padang have suffered severe damage including the aforementioned hospital, the cathedral - engineers will evaluate whether to begin restoration or build a completely new church - many schools, the pastoral centre, the monastery, monastery chapel and bishops residence .

"What we need most - concludes Msgr. Martinus Dogma Situmorang - is the availability of construction engineers, to verify the practicability of the buildings. There are many things to do in the future, but let me express my thanks and gratitude for the sympathy and support received. "
